I'm a big fan of a tier-based approach to delivery where one splits deliverables, timelines, costs, and complexity into several levels. Tier1 - cheap, quick and dirty with minimum functionality but still useful, then tier2 - still fast but with extra capabilities and extended functionality. Then tier3 - the most advanced and lengthy but potentially the one that customers appreciate the most in terms of functionality and quality. The tiered approached also allows one to embark your client on AI development journey that they usually appreciate a lot. An important caveat is that every earlier tier iteration ideally must be a building block for the next one to avoid developing AI systems from scratch.
