In my view, conflict is not necessarily bad, it has a complex relationship with team collaboration & performance. Leader personality, engagement, and leadership style have an impact on team collaboration. To build stronger collaboration within Team, we can apply MECE principle (Mutually Exclusive and Collectively Exhaustive) while building team, encourage each member to understand different perspectives and address issues head-on while focusing on common/shared goals. We can assign tasks that require teamwork and encourage individuals to lean on each other’s strengths. Careful attention must be given to hiring, creating, and rewarding team players e.g. encourage rewarding individuals for cooperative efforts.
