My style is that even though there may be a particular member of the team who is more versed with a particular project as the Lead, I have seen that creating a debriefing session where the specific Team Lead can brief the members of the larger team about the whole project goals and expected outcomes helps to keep the project running even in days where the Team Lead may be overwhelmed. It may appear obvious but what I have seen in my Lab is that it is important that the whole team has a general understanding of a project that is going on. This should generally be done within the organizational rules and regulations.

From my experience, staying on schedule requires adaptability, strategy, and most importantly staying calm even when you feel like the world is falling apart. First of all, it is necessary to evaluate which tasks can be brought forward or adjusted while we solve the main problem. Something that has worked for me is to break down objectives into smaller steps to show constant progress, even if the project as a whole is behind schedule. Likewise, never forget about communication; keeping stakeholders and the team informed ensures that everyone is aligned and understands the decisions.
