The team professional responsibility is to deliver on the project objectives via the project leadership and the project sponsor.. Conflicts or disagreements are to be managed within these core values!! The conflicting notes are to be managed based on this cadence without changing the officially agreed upon scope , the clients satisfaction will still be a key objective as well ! A number of alignment meetings shall follow to settle that and proceed with deliverables !

Conflicts where there is an impasse are never helpful! Resolving them depends on your relationship with those in conflict. If you know them well and they trust you it's as easy as facilitating a meeting and getting the best for the project. If you don't you may have to hear each separately and assess options. You're coaching skills may be tested but if you're any good you'll find a compromise everyone (including you) will agree with. Only on a very few cases in my experience have I had to enforce an unpopular compromise, but you have to be prepared to do it when it's the only way. Let both know you'll do it, if pushed. In other words there's your red line!

The goal is to maintain trust on both sides and ensure the focus stays on delivering value, not just appeasing anyone.
