Identify the goals, leverage historical data and evaluate personas to ensure they’re up to date and in line with current offering or product set. Scrutinize channels based on data. When complete with the above you can outline a plan, then start to work the strategy for each channel based on what you know. You may consider scheduling to be more precise based on past performance that show kpi’s in alignment with revenue growth (roi, roas), ie Weeks, days and/or channels that yield conversions or sales if ecomm. An ex-boss of mine once told me that creativity isn't always coming up with the wittiest lines or the most polished visuals. It's about maximising value - taking X amount of budget and finding a way to give 2X the impact. You can do that by: 1) Managing expectations realistically - The reality is, the budget is so and so. Understanding that, you set a baseline and focus on ideas that can raise the bar. It doesn't need to be a big idea, just an effective one. Turning limited resources into something meaningful. 2) Know how to upsell - Clients are realists. If you can show how you've stretched their dollar - that's half the battle won.
