Here are a few steps to consider: 1. Review your progress approach. Is it one sided? In other words , how do internal teams report progress? 2. Consider a tiered review approach. Executive level, strategic delivery, and tactical delivery (scrum). 3. Ask: Does our reporting improve delivery results (proactive, transformational, innovative) or is it a status report of what has happened (usually when it is too late to respond). 4. Try a “no surprise” rule. This helps set the tone for open, proactive dialogue and can refresh any issue mitigation process you might have.
