One issue I notice in product development teams is that they often bring in the security team at the end of the project. We should involve the security team from the beginning. During the discovery sessions, both the security team and the development team should collaborate. Additionally, the development team should always prioritize security in their coding practices. As the product architecture evolves, it's important to update the architecture diagrams, review them with the security team, and revise the security system plans (SSP) accordingly. Review all security controls and conduct a security scan on the product before product launch so the product team can address the security defects. Finally, always conduct security testing.
