Make sure you understand the objectives of the research so you can focus, prioritize and streamline the tasks accordingly. E.g. Know the questions that really need to be answered. I much prefer a 5 page deck that answers the key questions the research was intended to address over a 45 page deck that answered a whole lot of questions I didn't really need the answers to - just because I had all the additional data.
