Não há melhor forma de explicar temas complexos do que uso da técnica do storytellying. A melhor forma de comunicar temas, mesmo que técnicos e de novas tecnologias automotivas, é criando a relação do tópico com tecnologias já existentes. O complexo pode se manter complexo se a comunicação não for passada de maneira adequada. Caso seja feita de maneira apropriada, o complexo passa a ser entendido e gerará engajamento e questionamentos pertinentes. Afinal quem nunca participou de uma palestra técnica e não entendeu nada? E ao ser questionado se havia alguma dúvida, ficou calado pois não sabia nem por onde começar. Desta forma, a comunicação clara e eficiente na engenharia automotiva é fundamental para que todos estejam alinhados com projeto.

Whenever I am trying to teach or lecture on a technical topic, I start it off with the basics. Then I divide the whole lecture into steps. As I move along each step I ensure that at the end of every step I ask a series of mock questions. Any person who is lagging behind will become apparent and therefore i can guide that person individually.

Step 1: Communicate purpose, current status, proposal / next steps systematically. Step 2: Ask the listener to confirm or agree to a portion of the presentation. This will generate clarifying questions and you can repeat or reword the areas that were not understood.

Zunächst überlege ich mir an wen die Botschaft geht, welchen fachlich kulturellen Hintergrund die Zielgruppe hat. Je fachlich weiter sie weg ist um grundsätzlicher und abstrakter wähle ich die eigentliche Problembeschreibung. Idealerweise mit einem Bezug in die fachliche Welt der Zielgruppe oder alternativ einen Bezugs des allgemeinen Lebens. Mit dem Ziel unnötige Komplexität zu vermeiden in dem ich unbekannte Begriffe entferne die zum verstehen der Problemstellung irrelevant sind. Will ich beispielsweise service orientierte Architektur erklären, kann ich mich z.b. an einem Taxiunternehmen orientieren.

Ich finde es sehr wichtig, einfach und verständlich zu bleiben und dabei das Erzählte nicht in die Länge zu ziehen. Am besten startet man mit dem Großen und Ganzen, das den Überblick vereinfacht und wird dann immer detaillierter (je nach Fokus). Es ist wichtig auch das was Basiswissen für einen selbst ist, nochmal zu erklären, da der Gegenüber das Verständnis evtl nicht vorlegen kann. Somit umgeht man direkt, missverstanden zu werden. Und wichtig dabei ist es auch, Abkürzungen wegzulassen, da diese Begriffe schnell zur Verwirrung führen können.

I try to explain it at a higher level, bigger picture as I say "this is how I would try to explain it to my mom"... then as the bigger picture is understood and accepted, boil it down to 2-3 key points that are the main drivers that you want people to understand / follow / comprehend the direction....
