To make buildings more energy efficient include IoT and smart devices to ensure the best performance in Lighting, Heating and Ventilation and as per my observations use automatic door closure units in all doors in the buildings epically in Malls to avoid unwanted losses in HVAC system. Use of renewable sources like Sunlight and Wind also increases the energy efficiency and reducing the use of non renewable energy sources.

Additionally, I would integrate high-performance glazing systems, such as low-E coatings and triple-glazed windows, to reduce thermal transmission and heat transfer. Furthermore, a well-designed building envelope with adequate insulation, air sealing, and airtightness.

I think it matters how you define visually stunning. I am not a design person. I also do not know where the building is. Working as a functional team and using design constraints to your advantage, in addition to what I am sure everyone else is listing.

One thing I want to add is, a building should have access to natural lights, good ventilation and environment friendly material should be used for achieving better energy efficiency. Rest we can use smart technology to use the energy efficiently like AI, IoT etc.
