Creative storytelling, consistency in messaging and highlighting impact of giving, all foster interest in institutional mission. Reviewing engagement analytics is key in fine tuning or redirecting messaging strategically. Lastly, providing an easily accessible donation link increases probability of an individual completing their donation.

Stop using it as platforms to only spew out standard content that looks like adverts. Harness the power properly by leaning into content marketing, personal branding and using video and imagery to tell strong stories which emotionally connect with people, in combination with hard hitting facts to demonstrate donors will get good bang for their buck. Put some heart and soul into it. And for the love of baby Jesus and the wee donkey. Please encourage your staff to engage on your LinkedIn posts. If your workforce can't be bothered getting behind it, why should anyone else? Look like a team!

Showcase Impact - Most donors are looking for impact. If you can surface the work you are doing and the difference you are making on the ground, you will be able to convert fund raising from a sales exercise (outgoing calls) to a brand building one (income pings, which ensure that the conversion rate goes up significantly.)

Social media is a powerful tool—but only when we get the basics right. At BRB, we’ve learned that: 1. A compelling story drives action. People don’t just support causes—they connect with the stories behind them. 2. An easy-to-understand product is essential. When donors know exactly what they’re contributing to, they feel empowered to give. 3. Emotions matter. A heartfelt post that shows the real impact of their support creates a lasting connection. Here’s the key: Donors need to relate and understand. Instead of complicated appeals, let’s clearly show the output of their generosity like -A school getting better resources.

To boost online fundraising, harness the power of social media by crafting emotion-driven stories that connect your cause to real-world impact. Use short videos, testimonials, and eye-catching visuals to grab attention. Leverage trending hashtags and optimize your posts for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Engage your audience with interactive content like polls, Q&A sessions, and live streams. Partner with influencers who align with your mission to amplify reach. Don’t forget to add a compelling call-to-action with direct links to donate. Consistency and authenticity are key—make your audience feel they’re part of the change! 🌍💡 #Fundraising #SocialImpact

- Communicate Cause for what we are raising - See the ability to pay. If target audience does not have ability to pay then you are shooting an arrow in the air without any target - Fund utilisation track and genuinely expenses headers listing and updation - Fund utilised and success / Failure / Impact assessment / Repeat and recommendations for making society better - Elimination of the negative platforms for this tasks - Closure and removal of the proposition after successful raise - Use individual communication rather group where people endorse and some creates question marks and ultimately entire exercise crashes for no reason - Make Government Norms and regulations as part of any fund raise as this will help to build the right cause.

1. Define Your Objectives and Audience >Objective: Are you raising funds from investors, crowdfunding, or promoting your company to attract partnerships? Clarify this first. >Target Audience: Identify where potential investors, donors, or stakeholders spend time online (e.g., LinkedIn for professional investors, Instagram for storytelling, etc.).

Segment social media for your intended audience. Different messaging resonates with different demographics. Tradition and honoring the past can be done differently for younger and older alumni. Knowing your institution and its history and combining it with progress and change will have a big impact on the response. Values and mission are evergreen and ensure your donors feel connected to their institution. Combine those with new initiatives and programs to celebrate the past and create excitement for the future.
