Il n'est pas question de "mode" dans l'art. A partir du moment où on suit un courant majoritaire pour grapiller les miettes, on perd toute crédibilité artistique. Car le courant de "mode" qui émerge à une période donnée est déjà dans sa phase de perte de vitesse lorsqu'elle devient un courant "en vue". Être dans le dernier wagon d'une mode en fin de vie est un suicide professionnel. Qui veut encore d'un truc déjà vu mille fois et que tout le monde recopie sans en comprendre la source ? Afin d'espérer innover, il s'agit de se nourrir de choses différentes, d'avoir une personnalité forte et l'envie profonde de changer les choses. Pour cela il faut prendre des risques et accepter de se faire confiance.

I would first ask myself if I want to align myself to a trend and how compatible that would be with your own work and voice... perhaps the contrast is more appreciated.
