Here’s how I approach it: Highlight Common Goals: I focus on shared objectives, showing how innovation can enhance traditional methods to achieve better results. Encourage Open Dialogue: I create a safe space for each team member to express their views, fostering mutual understanding and easing concerns. Implement a Pilot: I propose testing new ideas on a small scale, allowing the team to experience potential benefits without fully committing upfront.

Innovation and tradition aren’t at odds—they’re partners. Tradition anchors core values; innovation enhances how we bring those values forward. 1. Start by identifying essential traditions that represent the team’s purpose, then explore how technology can support these values without replacing them. Adopt a ‘both-and’ mindset, seeing where innovation complements tradition. 2. Run small pilot programs to show how new tools can enhance, not threaten, your foundation. 3. Foster open dialogue to respect all perspectives and keep the team focused on outcomes. Lead with respect for the past and openness to the future—this balance drives meaningful progress.
