The team and their concerns are not only welcome but respected. Resistance has no place when it comes to open mindedness and growth.

A simple and effective way to counter this is by pitching the solution with an emphasis on the benefits, especially highlighting how it can improve daily tasks.If you’re in a position of leadership or actively involved in delegating and communicating tasks, you can organically enhance team workflows by embedding the new protocols into daily routines. Give it a couple of weeks for the protocols to settle in, allowing team members time to adjust and form new habits.

Most of the time this is caused by lack of clarity, negative perception, fear of change and sometimes technical difficulties. First thing I would do is lead by example, connect with team and understand the concerns. Concise clarity of communication will help to reduce resistance and adapt quicker.

Some of our greatest success when implementing new communication pathways has been to set standards early. Communicate what this change hopes to effect in regard to timelines, clarity of communication, etc. With these goals in mind, both parties can be on the lookout to test the effectiveness of the new strategy and hold each other accountable for this process and what it hopes to accomplish.
