First I would try to learn the new technology myself. Once I am confident with the new tool, then I can share my experience and guide my team demonstrating the tasks step-by-step and allow them to practice each one. Until they can fully understand the new technology and apply it efficient.

I would start by using it myself and what the added value or simplification is. And use the value add to convince the person of the benefit to using it. If people are not convinced it brings them anything new or better why change ?

I think to be told a Global Systems SOP looks like it was written for a 10 year old was one of the biggest compliments I could be given as a global SOP writer and trainer. We work with a diverse network of colleagues, and making training and instructions fit for all users is the most important part. From there being an SME and understanding mentor/coach, allows the colleague to be guided through the change curve allowing them to feel empowered to do walking out of the training session. I also think giving the trainee permission to be ready to go it alone on their terms, allows for use confidence. With a lot of focus on human performance these days, making instructions concise with visual aids, ensures consistent execution.

Firstly Need to evaluate the complexity of tech needed and level of expertise required for the role should be mapped once the right level and capability is mapped I would start with open communication and chalk out a plan with the member Apart from the three mentioned additionally we can also explore - to pair up with other expert in that tech - levy sometime for gaining the expertise - try and provide for more on the job tasks - starting with small and simple tasks

Simple, have a young 10 year old boy come in and show grandpa or grandma how to do what’s needed. I 💯 agree that tech can be confusing. My grand babies can do more. So I find out what skills he really has and have someone help him understand. Usually it’s not that they are not smart enough, it’s they haven’t done it enough. Teach them and they can fish.

The mantra is simple Get the member to use it and use it and use it. You don't learn swimming unless you get into the water.😎 As a Supervisor, Colleagues you have to give space and means to access the tools. Help in ensuring in getting the right access , tool manuals etc Remember almost every thing can be learn. Where there is a will there is a way

I’d start by chatting with them to get a feel for what’s messing them up, so we can zero in on exactly what they need. Then I’d remind them it’s a marathon, not a sprint—technology takes time! Patience is key here. We all need to give ourselves a bit of grace because, trust me, everyone has been in that same ‘what am I even doing?’ boat at some point! So, deep breaths, lots of practice, and maybe even some cheers along the way! We’ve got this!
