At the same time, unreasonable demands of the client should be discussed with the client instead of pressurising the team or escalated to a senior level. It also helps if the team has confidence in their leader. Balanced and firm handling of the client in the presence of team members goes a long way in boosting the morale of the team.

It is the game of expectations and meeting those expectations. I suggest all team mates to think of expectations. Don’t bother if it is unrealistic. However prompt action is essential if expectations are realistic. I do facilitate team to be sensitive enough to assess and evaluate expectations.

I remind my team to take care of themselves. As cliche as it sounds, you simply can’t pour from an empty cup. We want to ensure the satisfaction of our demanding clients, but nothing is more important than your physical and mental health. I remind them of that.
