I stick to the contract - time is money. I don’t shift statistical priorities unless StatCan publishes a better database which is not uncommon. The communication is based on the client. Most of my clients trust me to develop a pristine data base but the details are left to my judgement. The client is primarily interested in the result and not intermediate steps.
