I disagree with the base assumption: "When your social media metrics are inconsistent, it's crucial to identify the root cause and streamline your analysis process." Is it crucial? Really? Is catering to algorithmic processes to gain consistency really the goal, or is it the sharing of new ideas and new formats? Do we really have to choose between consistency and creativity? Unless consistent social media metrics are your exact job and goal, I would suggest aiming for pointed human connections, no matter the numbers rolling in.

I begin by reviewing the goals I set for each platform. Are they aligned with my metrics? This helps me understand if the metrics I’m tracking are actually relevant. Next, I dig into the data to identify patterns. Which posts performed well? Which didn’t? This helps me pinpoint what’s working and what needs improvement. I segment my audience and analyze how different groups are engaging with my content. This allows me to tailor future posts to the right audience. I also compare results across platforms to see if the discrepancies are platform-specific. By adjusting my strategy based on insights, I can bring more clarity to the metrics and improve overall performance.
