The first question to ask is, "Do I want my company to be a high-performing organization that delivers real value to customers, or simply to be diverse?” 1. A company's culture is a reflection of the leader's values. If you value people, hire people who value people. 2. You cannot legislate (force) diversity and inclusion into anything and expect high performance levels. 3. By focusing on values, drive, and capabilities in the hiring process, you develop a high performing, culturally diverse team. In building championship football teams, Nick Saban learned that "Mediocre people don’t like high achievers and high achievers don’t like mediocre people." Look for high achievers to build a culture of excellence and diversity.

"Building an inclusive culture starts with intentional actions." Hire with Diversity in Mind: I seek out candidates from different walks of life and encourage them to apply for jobs so that various perspectives and experiences will be present. Create Open Communication Channels: I do allow feedback where team members can share ideas with ease; this belongs in the process of building an inclusive culture. Celebrate Differences: Yes, we do celebrate all types of cultural events and achievements that make everyone feel important. Inclusive Training: Regular workshops on inclusion are important to raise awareness and build an environment of respect through collaboration.

Kommunikation, Wertschätzung & Offenheit sind die Schlüssel für eine Organisationskultur, in der Vielfalt geschätzt & gefördert wird. Criando um processo de recrutamento voltado para a diversidade de gênero, cor, credo e incluindo pessoas com deficiência nessa jornada. Mas, para além do recrutamento, é preciso criar uma cultura que retenha essa diversidade construindo ambiente propício para o diálogo, preparando líderes para uma escuta ativa, adaptando os espaços para acolher as deficiências, promovendo treinamentos que aumentem a qualificação técnica de profissionais que não tenham tido as mesmas oportunidades que outros ao longo da carreira. É sempre importante lembrar que o aculturamento começa de cima: a alta administração também precisa ser diversa e inclusiva para dar o exemplo.
