Alignment of messaging to the audience and buying cyle is critical, having the same message is not. A content calendar that is product, segment/audience, buying stage and channel specific is critical. Vary your voice and tone by channel and audience to generate more engagement. I also have found constant experimentation is a critical component of success. There are few universal truths in a dynamic global market -- curious, agile and responsive seem to be three truths I live by. Understand the buyer cycle and consider how the channels and messaging fits...the right nudge at the right time can lead to great results. Lastly, measure and analyze your results regularly...you will likely uncover some meaningful insights you can action.
