If you're truly a bad person, then negative comments are just an honest reflection of your behavior. But if you're a good person, your job is to stay true to your values and keep being yourself. Time will reveal the truth. History is full of good people who were misunderstood, and you can't possibly control everyone's perception of you. Focus on what you can control and let the rest go.
