Balancing IT upgrades with innovation means staying flexible. I would focus on using scalable, cloud-based tools that reduce the need for big, disruptive changes. At the same time, I would involve teams to find ways to innovate during the process. Instead of seeing upgrades as a one-time task, I would treat them as an ongoing effort to keep the business adaptable and ready for the future. Collaboration is key—everyone helps build an IT setup that works for today and encourages new ideas for tomorrow.

1.Build an Innovation Sandbox Establish a separate environment for experimenting with new technologies without impacting legacy operations. Use this sandbox to test proofs of concept, new tools, or processes before full implementation. 2. Involve Stakeholders Early Engage employees and teams: Seek feedback from teams to understand their pain points with current infrastructure. Collaborate with innovators: Include developers, engineers, and other creatives in designing future-ready systems. 3.Invest in Automation and AI Use AI and automation to streamline repetitive tasks, freeing resources to focus on innovative projects. Implement self-healing systems to reduce manual intervention and improve system resilience.

IT Infrasteucture change is a delicated point as we need to conduct deep analysis and planning. First we need to evaluate what we need to replace/upgrade and also what can be innovated or moved to cloud, then we need to have understand of the budget we have for these changes and if we cannot perform all changes we will need to prioritize and divide the changes into phases based on the priority. To avoid it happen again, it is very important to understand IT Cycle and follow it as it has steps for Manage & Maintenance and also for upgrading otherwise in a few years it will be aged again. This is the simplified overview as this is a big project and will have other smaller phasesso we need chronogram with deadline, plan downtime and etc.
