You have to remember that remotes run on batteries, so most likely that remote team member has low battery and that's why it's missing crucial updates. A simple change of battery would solve all the issues.

Repition is the law of mastery.... And I repeat a lot... almost to a fault. On all our communication channels, we resound updates as frequently as possible and I even do personal rounds to ensure everyone got the memo. This solution may not be so scalable when dealing with larger teams, but it is really important that everyone is on the same page at all times. #aigamepreneur

These have to be mandatory, as the progress of the project is vital to the entire team. If one person is depending on the other person to finish their task, everyone needs to be in the loop on what is going on. Sharing the best way to contact you with your team is another good strategy. Finally, having a fail safe plan when things go south. The kind of plan that entails, "In case you can't reach me, do this" is also something you and your team should also figure out as well!
