It mostly happens when job responsibilities aren't clear and there's no workflow system in place. If everyone knows their role and what to expect from others there would be minimal space for a clash. Of course in many cases a few small tasks that fall outside of set responsibilities would arise. These must be addressed ASAP and assigned to a member in front of others. Moreover, team must engage "along with team leader" in activities outside the job scope. "Friend are much easier to cooperate". However, leader must be actively observing and prevent early "small alliances" where team divide into two or more groups, and "alienation" where a member is avoided by others.
