CR Note: In addition to phone and in-person interviews, consider asking the RDH if he/she would like to have a paid “Experience Day.” Schedule a day of great patients, (perhaps staff, family, and “friends” of the practice), schedule ample time and give the RDH an assistant or another RDH to help them set-up and break-down rooms, docharting, etc. This is a day to “SELL” the RDH on the office, not just to “evaluate” him/her! Also, promise a training/orientation period (one week?) when they are allowed extra time and help to adapt to the new team and procedures.
