I found agile methodology now being trapped by management post covid (remote) era. A transparency in team, stakeholders is crucial ingredient to be successful delivery for the end customers. Found below challenges in virtual agile implementation - lack of collaboration on featurs/epics - limited vision on scope n impact - less contacts to reach n report dependencies - we lost the base principle of productive hrs- now management wants team to work 12hrs a day which throwing agile somewhere into just showcase! Agile's one of the fundamental pillars is transparency. Agile promotes transparency at every project stage among all the roles. That's why even complex projects are built at ease using Agile. Vision and scope bring transparency between stakeholders and the product owner/ dev team and break down into product backlog in the form of user stories and tasks. Regular backlog prioritization with stakeholder collaboration empowers the Agile team to build valuable business working software every sprint.

I’ve found that when requirements are written with the least amount of “fluff” wording, they are written in a way that is much more direct and less likely to be misinterpreted.

This makes a lot of sense - when we are talking about transparency we need something to gauge it against - meaning if I add something someone knows, if I delete something someone knows on so on. Kanban style works pretty well although you do need to agree upon several things in advance like DoD (definition of done) the type of boards , scope, backlog on so on. But the main idea will always remain the same: IF SOMETHING WAS DONE IT NEEDS TO BE REFLECTED VISUALLY SOMEWHERE - I refrain from choosing specifics because this could be accomplished in multiple ways.

This is even more beneficial when every single potential stakeholder contributes to the reporting requirements so that all the necessary data points are collected from the get go and based on SMART goals. This allows the program management team to build a more robust, cross-functional and customizable reporting system, drill-down enabled for the right amount of information a variety of decision-makers need and/or care about to make quick, informed decisions.

What's funny about the title of this section is that the first place my mind went was not ways to visualize the progress or status, but as support to the previous Vision statement (and scope). I've found that a multi-dimensional diagram that contains any combination of the business/process flow, data, logic, applications, roles, and/or interface mock-ups with the objective of providing any Agile team member the context of what's to come and their place in it. This isn't to replace any of the the detailed diagrams sometimes used, but rather a visual "summary" that contains just enough information to create an easily reference-able foundation for the project.

It might sound old-fashioned, but I always ensure that notes are taken during standups and other regular meetings. We take the notes by hand to make them brief and to the point (this is great practice) and rotate the note taking role between team members. We then share these notes with the entire company. Daily stand-ups are so essential in Agile. It can be really easy for these meetings to become stagnant, or to lose focus and purpose, but the daily accountability and insight into concerns and blockers are invaluable. Continuing to focus on these meetings being important, valued, and collaborative can mean the difference between a project being successful, or not.

This relates deeply to that previous step - where communication can be with a visual tool - like moving a card from in queue to in work or to finished. As customer ourselves, we expect return to any investment even if the time of maturity is not near we want to see progress towards success. There is huge difference in imagine something and actually watching it. So showcasing something which actually done/develop add lot of confidence in stack-holders. Through actual product we can show how it can add value. E.g Instead of entering data manually in any form, it can be done in few seconds just by scanning the document or uploading data through some automation tool.
