This could easily get tricky as the expectations are believed to differ from place to place. However, in my opinion, there is a list of actionable that every teacher is expected to carry out. * Curriculum Development - Play an active role in drafting, reviewing and revising the curriculum keeping in mind the statutory and regulatory requirements, students' readiness and also the assessment data * Lesson Planning - Planning the instructional strategies that would cater to all students * Transacting the lessons - Differentiating the instruction to ensure inclusion and engagement * Assessment - Designing and conducting assessments that help driving the learning * Feedback - Provide feedback of students' attainment and progress periodically

Teachers play a crucial role in shaping the minds and futures of their students. Here are some of the key things that teachers can do: Support Development: Teachers support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of students by fostering a positive classroom environment and offering guidance and mentorship. Including my experience the most important thing as a teacher is planning lessons , a teacher must organize the lesson in a logical sequence. Consider the flow of activities and the time needed for each. Maintain a pace that keeps students engaged without rushing through important concepts. And aligns with the curriculum, learning objectives, and the students' developmental level. Ensure it's relevant and meaningful.

A teacher teaches students, prepares lessons, gives tests, helps students, and sometimes also does research. They are important to help us learn new things.

When teaching, adaptability is important. No two classes or students are the same, so there are different learning methods to consider (visual vs hands on, etc). As I work with students, I pay close attention to how they respond. Many students don't know what works best for them, so I make time to teach through different mediums. Then I'll adapt over the semester based on the students and what they best respond to. It's also important to create a learning environment where students feel safe and seen, so they feel comfortable enough to actively listen and ask questions.

Planning lessons can be overwhelming for teachers whether they are beginning teachers or veteran teachers. Plans are necessary yet can be a daunting task. I find it easier by creating a template for your plans that is easy to understand, for you and a sub, and easy to write each week. If there are things that repeat every day or week, don't rewrite those every week, put those in your template so they are there each week. At the beginning of the year I take the state standards and highlight what I need to cover each quarter so it helps planning the whole year easier. Working with your team to do broad planning is also a big help!

I agree self regulation, self reflection and check points should be added by a teacher for their own personal growth and this helps in preparing better support and mental safe environment for types of learners in any grades or any subjects.

I am so passionate about arts education. I've predominately worked in Visual Art and Media roles, but occasionally I take drama. Although it's not what I have experience in, I'm able to celebrate the creativity I see in the students when they improvise and come up with solutions. You have a huge impact when you bring curiosity from one subject to another. What it comes down to is a growth mindset that the teacher is willing to learn and the students will follow.

I have conducted research and asked both teachers and students in higher education what they expect from a teacher. The results show that teachers and students do not always agree on what's expected from a teacher. This implies that it is important to ask for students' ideas in relation to what a teacher should do and make sure that their voice is heard when possible.

Teachers should be allowed to bring different teaching styles, and not always conform to a pre-determined orthodox teaching methods. Teachers should be honest with the kids and inform them when they are doing great things. They should also inform students when things are not going well (subtly sometimes). Lastly, too many reforms at a short space of time does more harm than good. Slowly introducing a concept should be encouraged in a school setting.

J’ai notamment constaté que ce qui peut être stressant chez un jeune enseignant c’est la gestion du groupe. Essayez de partir d’un postulat positif et non négatif. Faites confiance en vos élèves dites leur que vous avez confiance en eux et soyez cohérents. Si vous établissez les règles de vie de classe dès le départ et les conséquences si elles ne sont pas respectées et si vous appliquez ses règles le groupe saura que vous êtes cohérents et clair. Et n’oubliez pas de rire aussi ! Rire avec ses élèves c’est primordial !
