Un MBA en Finanzas Corporativas además de lo mencionado en este apartado, también incluye temas como la valuación de empresas, casos de fusiones y adquisiciones y temas de mercado de capitales, sin embargo, en este último caso los temas no se ven con la profundidad con los que se abordan en una certificación CFA. Por otro lado un programa de certificación CFA no aborda los demás temas empresariales que están a cargo de un CFO, como por ejemplo la gestión del capital de trabajo, la valuación de proyectos de inversión de bienes de capital, la gestión de la tesorería y el flujo de caja en general y la planeación y gestión de los recursos financieros de una empresa.
