𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 : AR Solutions can be complex so, experiment with different approaches, iterate on your solutions, and learn from failures. Sometimes, trial and error lead to breakthroughs. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 : Keep up with AR trends, attend conferences, and participate in online forums. Curiosity fuels problem-solving and helps you stay informed about the latest developments.

AR being a complex subject by itself, when we have problem it is better that we revisit some of the fundamental concepts 1. Refresh your 3D graphics, computer vision (CV) and linear algebra/calculus knowledge. 2.check whether we are using the right platform, ARKit/ARCore, your game engine's AR features, and any SDK integrations. 3. Ensure that the UI design are clear, minimalist UI that respects spatial awareness and user comfort. 4. When ever there issue in debugging Utilize error messages, logs, and test results to identify and fix issues. Finally leverage the support provided by the community, online resources etc for help

Sometimes, in the complexity of AR development, we might overlook basic principles. Revisiting the fundamentals can help identify any gaps or misconceptions that could be causing the problem. Also, It's easy to get lost in the details of AR development. Taking a step back to review the basics ensures that you're not overlooking simple solutions or common pitfalls that could be hindering progress.

When critical thinking hits a roadblock in AR problem-solving, turn to prototyping. Create simplified versions of your AR solution to test different approaches and hypotheses. These prototypes serve as low-risk environments where you can iterate rapidly without committing extensive resources. By observing how users interact with these prototypes, you gain valuable insights into what works and what doesn't. This hands-on experimentation fosters a culture of innovation, empowering you to refine your AR solution iteratively until you find the optimal path forward.

In my opinion, if critical thinking falls short in solving AR problems, a multidisciplinary approach may be needed. Here's a concise strategy: 1.Collaborate: Engage experts from diverse fields like design, tech, and human-computer interaction. 2. Experiment: Use trial-and-error to test different solutions or configurations. 3. User-Centered Design: Prioritize understanding user needs through research and feedback. 4. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of AR trends and innovations for fresh insights. 5. Seek External Input 6. Change Assumptions: Challenge biases and remain adaptable in problem-solving. 7.Iterative Design: Adopt a continuous refinement process based on testing and feedback.

Agree project ends over should be defined. Maybe some time we are not taking the issue in the right direction so you need to take a pause and restart on it. We can involve other tech stacks with AR to solve the issue.

In my experience you have to ask the right questions. Is this the correct medium to tell my story? What am I aiming for the user to take away from this? Are the interactions intuitive to a wide variety of users? If the answers are in the affirmative above then create a prototype and test and learn. Most important in this process is iterate so that the end product becomes the best it can be.

Sometimes the use or justification of tech (AR) in a project can precede the need .In the chaos one needs to step back and look at the larger picture Are we complicating ? AR has great use cases but context setting is the key . Focus on simple factors like the correct user base ,simplified UI ,good onboarding. Take some feedbacks and iterate .

Another factor is seeking right support at the crucial time One should never hesitate in seeking expert interventions when things needed . AR community is quiet vibrant and effective and there is plenty of support on offer . Bringing in an expert view gives a fresh perspective in both solving the problem and overall approach .

Don't hesitate to reach out to these experts for assistance. This could involve sending emails, direct messages on social media, or participating in online forums where experts are active. When seeking expertise, clearly explain the problem you're facing in AR development. Provide relevant details, such as the technology stack you're using, the specific challenges encountered, and any attempts made to solve the problem. In some cases, you might benefit from ongoing mentorship or consultation with an experienced AR developer. This could involve formal arrangements or informal mentorship through professional relationships.

Today, there is ample community support for AR, making it advisable to seek quick assistance from the community. For instance, challenges in Unity, Unreal, or ARKit can be shared within the community to obtain prompt solutions. Another valuable approach is peer review, as it often offers fresh perspectives that we might overlook, aiding in problem-solving. At times, issues may arise due to limitations within the SDK/framework, necessitating exploration of alternative solutions.

When critical thinking struggles in AR problem-solving, leverage simulation tools. These tools create virtual environments where you can simulate various scenarios and test potential solutions without real-world consequences. By simulating different conditions and variables, you can explore the behavior of your AR system in diverse situations, uncovering potential pitfalls and opportunities for improvement. Simulation allows for thorough experimentation and hypothesis testing, guiding you towards innovative solutions that address complex AR challenges effectively.

If you are stuck for a longer period then better to take help from someone who can help you. There are a number of ways to find the solutions. You can post in groups, community and forums. You can run the different solutions and compare the results. Dry run methods can help in finding the solution.

Ever get stuck on a super frustrating AR project glitch? We've all been there. But before you toss your headset out the window, try a fresh perspective. Sometimes, the best AR solutions aren't the ones staring us in the face. We are focused on the tech itself and forget: to experience. "How else can I get the same result?" Could a simple image or video work? "What's the most important part of this experience?" If you had to strip away everything but one element, what HAS to stay? In my experience, I've found getting back to those basic questions can spark amazing solutions. One time, a complex 3D model kept crashing my app. I finally realized a few well-placed photos and simple animations did the trick even better!

We must first identify the issue whether it pertains to object recognition, real-world interaction, or overall complexity. If the problem can be resolved using the current tech stack fine else we should consider other options while maintaining user experience. For eg. 3D high poly models may not be feasible on all devices, need to explore low poly options. If a simpler, non-AR approach aligns better with the target audience's preferences and enhances user-friendliness, it may be a choice. Some eg: - Implementing simpler overlays for information rather than complex 2D/3D overlay AR interactions. - Opting for a fully virtual experience if real-world elements are not crucial for the immersive experience (e.g., product visualization apps).

If critical thinking fails to solve problems in AR, then we turn towards its desired user and actively listen to them. What's their perspective? Analyzing this can help refine the AR applications, improve user interfaces, and enhance the overall experience. We could also commission additional user research and interviews to gather more data, and conduct more closed /open group testing to further note down and refine the application.

This is the step often skipped in development. User testing is key to get fresh eyes and perspective to your project which ultimately had become an echo chamber for those who created it. Analytics is important data that lets you know what features are being most used and give insights in how you can surface content or parts of the experience that may not be as great as initially designed. I often tell stories to my teams about parallels to game development. It doesn’t matter how cool a feature or item is you create if it’s hidden in a locked room 98% of your players/users will never interact with. Lead users towards the desired result and if it’s not working pivot. Don’t blame the players.

Breaking it down when it comes down to a traditional approach. 1. Find the list of problem statements that we are solving in the first place. 2. Check which are solved and which are still pending. 3. Now find if the other problem statements that are left and isolate the issues related to it. 4. Solve them keeping a MSCoWo approach and keeping in mind that it does not render the previous problems that are solved to become unsolved again for the AR user. Sometimes traditions work. ;)

If critical thinking can't solve AR problems, it suggests a need for a multidisciplinary approach, given AR's blend of tech, design, and human interaction, often requiring innovative solutions beyond traditional methods. When faced with such challenges in AR: Seek External Input: Consider seeking advice or consulting with industry peers, mentors, or communities specializing in AR. External perspectives can offer valuable insights and alternative approaches to problem-solving. Reevaluate Assumptions: Challenge and reassess any preconceived notions, biases, or limitations that may be influencing your approach to problem-solving in AR. Adopt a flexible mindset and be willing to adapt and pivot as needed.

Use this as an opportunity to reflect on your problem-solving process and adapt it for future challenges. Sometimes, an unsolvable problem in AR can teach you more about your methodology and creativity than a straightforward one. Take note of what didn't work and why, and consider how you can adjust your approach to be more effective next time. Embrace the iterative nature of AR development, where each problem, solved or not, contributes to your growth as a professional.
