After being given a responsibility to lead an important Construction Project execution, finalized by Management, during the course of execution the project team leader must use their due diligence without fail. If any drastic changes are needed to avoid future mishap anticipated on account of environmental or geographical changes/site conditions or due to inadequacy in design or layout etc observed, it should be brought to the notice of top management and modification/corrective action must be taken without any hesitation.If any additional expenditure is required to modify any design/layout etc.required to ensure estimated life & smooth run of the project due to aforesaid reasons,it should be taken after due approval of competent authority.

Civil Field is directly proportional to civilization of a nation. They provide solutions to live better. Each and every upcoming day meets new challenges, new innovations. Time is changing with new technology,So the adoption of technology is always plus to encounter any problems.

Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT). In this regard the Project Manager checks the pretender plan against the detailed master program. In this regard one has to check activities that took more time to complete than expected and then analyse the cost implication associated with this delay and a possible explanation can be noted so that in future one can avoid the negative cost variance associated with this. Where an activity took less time to complete than expected then one has to analyse the cost implication and a possible explanation should be noted on what happened to achieve a profit margin lessons from this can be used to maximize profits on other activities that show a negative cost variance.

The most important thing to learn from past projects is not to repeat the same mistake in the new project.! Because projects are unique and business partners are ever changing in every new project, there is an iteral tendency to begin each new project from scratch. this is different from factory production or assembly line production, when you have the opportunity to enhance the process of the product. A lot of mistakes are safety, quality and security violations which can lead to loss or diminishing profits. We all learn from our mistakes more than we learn from any other source of information.!

Previous construction projects should be on shared folder within the organisation, with maybe different levels of clearance for different departments. Lessons learned from previous projects could give you a wide range of information & details about what went well, any major challenges & areas that required improvement either on specific sections or internally within the teams or externally with various Contractors / suppliers / Client and the overall stakeholders of the project. It should be something that the teams be aware of and dig into it, as a reference and not just another empty folder on the system
