First of all, measuring impact and the framework around impact monitoring has to be robust, time tested and fed into a loop of continuous improvement. Hence data collection and analysis should really be a continuous process rather than end of year / program exercise, to avoid constraints of time. Additionally, the use of technology and aligning the critical KPIs against stakeholder needs is of paramount importance. Advance machine learning tools will make our job easier both in terms of the points of analyses and the turnaround time. Impact and monitoring tools should be available for the use of the diverse team and not just a few experts from the Impact and Assurance teams. This way we get a wide range of data in a shorter span of time.
