As a vulnerability speciialist I care about the overall system. If you loose one computer or peice of equipment will the pilot get home. Will an other system fail if that one's gone. I don't care about individual I care about ultimate failure of the entire system. Will a apice of shrapnel going through a main bus lead to the whole system failing or is there enough duplexitynof the line to ensure this won't happen. Can the avionics cope with being independent to get they pilot home. What can we do to protect those systems? What backups what routing what placement.
