I have to establish the ground rules on proper communication and appropriate work behaviour so that i can create a safe and structured work environment for everyone where every team member knows and understands their roles and responsibilities, so less misunderstandings. I will also promote open dialogue cuz I believe that is when people feel comfortable sharing their ideas, concerns, and feedback without judgement. Team members will feel more trusting. Besides communication, I also have to show more integrity and accountability on my part so that they can follow my lead. I’m going to involve my team in the decision making process when appropriate and explain them the reasoning behind my decisions.

By initiating like this, it will let the team members feel that they are cared & valued. 2.Take interest in knowing them: Listen more compared to speaking. Let their words flow. It makes them feel empowered. Helps them keep conversation longer with you. 3.Try team building activities: Your team members might be afraid of starting the conversation with you & team as they don't know you& team. So, try the team building activities apart from work. Team thrives, if the members trust each other well.
