Communicate regularly with senior management about your training programs. Be professional and credible. Be respectful of their time. Be prepared to answer their questions and address their concerns.

Agree! In my designer job, my manager was a very temperamental person, and we will use the weather to describe her mood for the day. Later, I learned that she was married 5 years but has no kid, so I placed articles of how to have children on my table because I know she loves to check on our tables. She later approached me on that, and I told her stress can also cause people to not have children and encouraged her to go on holiday with her husband, and she actually took a month holiday! When she came back, she was so thankful that she became pregnant! Its inconvenient for a guy to talk to a lady on pregnancy issue, but it is ok for a lady to ask a guy.

Different audiences have different communication styles, preferences, and needs – match that! If you are in a time crunch, you can stick with well designed visual documentation that gets your message across. Communicating what training topics you are passionate about and willing to prepare for, practice at, present on and perform actively for an engaging audience is the way to go with senior management and clients. One good reason why using data is important is that, after the training is over, senior management could see the results (financial gains) of applying lessons learned from the program. This could be used for reviews

"Show, don't tell" is an approach you can follow when it comes to communicating progress and success indicators of training. Show data and make it visual. Present data that shows change in performance, or achievement of a business objective by the individuals who are on the training. It would simply mean that your training program contributed to that positive change. Another way to keep your senior management and clients interested in your initiative is by sharing micro-updates regularly. Remember, data is key, so don't forget to include meaningful numbers and percentages. Here's an example: while running this week's training agenda, 80% of learners shared that the SOP docs need to be updated for them to follow the appropriate protocols.

Never view feedback from senior management as character assassination, even if that's what some feedback actually are intended to accomplish. That person who dislikes you may actually strongly respect your views. Accept constructive criticism graciously

I use *Comparison Matrix*. On one hand there are their goals and needs, on the other hand is my training program. Before I communicate my training program I do a survey on their goals, needs, expectations, etc. Based on this analysis I make Comparison Matrix. Result of it is percentage of matching of my training program with what they want, need, etc.
