In my experience and opinion, if you do following things, you can have better communication with team members and clients. 1. Hear the need of client in detail by all the people including sales person, designer, person who operates printer, person who does post process and etc. This can help everyone to be in same understanding. 2. Every changes or issue arose at certain step should be informed to everyone so that risks can be minimized beforehand. This can be done on shared document or in a meeting. 3. Designer's intend should be clearly explained to everybody as he is one who has to think till the final part/ product.

The key to success in 3D printing and 3D modeling projects is having a solid understanding of all aspects of the work. You must ask yourself the following questions: "What does my client want?" "For what they want it?" "Can I propose changes in order to improve the solution?" and "What can I deliver with my current equipment". And remember: different clients have different needs and varying levels of understanding of your work as printer/modelist If a client's request exceeds your printer's capabilities, emphatically explain the limitations and try to find a compromise. This approach helps maintain good client relationships and positions you for future opportunities.
