From my perspective there are two additional things to add 1) Benchmark. Compare your strategy, enabling functions, go-to-market activations and business culture to peers and competitors to ensure that you are replicating key capabilities, creating opportunities others haven’t and accelerating strengths while developing weaknesses. 2) Bring in best practise from peers, leaders and other industries. Other businesses have great ideas, best practises and solutions that you can bring into your industry to be disruptive, engage customers differently or become more efficient. You strategy will be more robust, more easily accepted and likely to be adopted if it is based off of best practise and benchmarked successes of others.
