One of the reasons for increased stress nowadays seems to be the fall out of increasing dependence on automation/AI and reduced interactions with individuals in and across teams. I suffered burnout last year, so this year, I take time out for me. I am a complementary therapist, and my job can be quite demanding. I could work 7 days a week, there are a lot of people out there needing to destressed. I decided to work a shorter day on a Tuesday and I am off every Wednesday. I have learned to say no, and not feel guilty about it. I book in for a treatment every month and I try and walk to work most days, which I feel clears the mind.

As a Shiatsu-Therapists and having been close to a burnout myself during Menopause when facing serious sleeping disorders I found it very helpful to put both hands on my lower abdomen or even pressing certain acupoints below the navel when I was lying awake at night. This helps to strengthen the Hara (Japanese for belly) and this leads to good grounding and being centered. After having done that before falling asleep and every time I was waking up during the night, I felt that the next day I managed to stay centered even in difficult situations when I normally would get stressed, lost my focus, my inner tranquility or even my temper. I can warmly recommend this technique and regular Shiatsu to anyone who is often exposed to stress.

It’s true that changes can be overwhelming, but they also help us grow both professionally and personally, and knowing how to adapt is essential. In addition to the ones mentioned, I would add one more strategy: finding hobbies outside of the professional atmosphere that bring us joy, like socializing with friends, exercising, or learning a new language. These activities really help me disconnect and maintain balance.

Take care of yourself is important than anything else when it comes to deal with stress management.,set boundaries, respect them,eat healthy and be spiritual ( breath and breath deeply) have a time for what you like . Feel your body, mind and notice any change,triggers,... Take a time to rest. You give what you have.
