I think the first thing to note is that when we're transitioning to another software on a professional level, the definite purpose is to either Improve the QUALITY of our product or to reduce the TIME taken to produce it while maintaining the same quality. These are definite advantages for the clients. So being straight forward about it by showing some samples, probably from a previously worked project would be optimal. Note: please do not bore them with in-depth technical explanations. Keep it simple. Thanks!

1. I never let go of the previous versions of the software until the transition is complete. 2. I always try to keep the process seamless; client might just not notice any difference or if anything will just be pleased by the better quality or delivery time. 3. Before deciding to upgrade, I take enough time on new software to get my hands on it like I use the existing ones. 4. If ever there's an upgrade in price as well, I notify the same to the clients, always with an option to get the current batch done on previous rates, quality and expectations.

It depends on what the upgrade entails - If by way of the upgrade, a change in design or workflow had to occur, I will definitely communicate that to the client as properly as possible to ensure their understanding - If the upgrade was only an upgrade in image quality, I don't think client would even bother questioning why the image got sharper/smoother. If anything, they might be satisfied by the increase in output quality as it helps them appreciate the design more

Two best cases: 1. Never upgrade during an ongoin project. 2. If the quality stays the same, which it should, or if it gets better, the software choices, pipeline or process upgrades do not affect the client, so there is no need to handle any expectations. In all other cases: 1. Maintain Consistency Quality is my priority. I make sure clients experience a seamless transition, with no change except enhanced final visuals. 2. Build in Flexibility By adding a buffer to timelines and increasing check-ins, I ensure clients feel confident and informed. 3. Collect Feedback After delivering upgraded projects, I gather client feedback to fine-tune my approach and reinforce quality. Upgrades should build client trust and increase quality.
