Honestly, you cannot control everything, but that’s okay. But, when optimizing copy performance, one should focus on the data points that truly matter. Some of them which I look are👇🏽 > Start with Click-Through Rate (CTR) to see if your headlines grab attention. > Then, look at Conversion Rates to measure how well your copy turns interest into action. > Keep an eye on Bounce Rates to understand if your content is engaging or missing the mark. > Engagement metrics like shares and comments show emotional impact, while heatmaps reveal how users interact with your page. Even brands like Sugar Cosmetics tweak their CTAs and visuals based on these insights—it’s about progress, not perfection!

To keep your team motivated during tight project deadlines, go with the following: 1. Set Clear Goals: Break down tasks into smaller, achievable steps. 2. If the CTRs are high, but the open rates are below 25%, that means that the overall body copy and cta transition is great. So the only thing I would do is come up with other subject lines that would increase open rates. In order to do that, I would always ask access to the history of past campaigns and discover what makes the email list of my client tick more: Pain Point Emails, Roadblocks, Dream States. And write the new subject lines accordingly. However if the open rates are above 30% but click through rates are low, means that the copy is weak. Because it cannot retain the reader. So I would just write the email from the beginning by integrating success factors of the most recent past successful email campaigns.
