I used to work for the National Theatre of Greece for 8 years. I was their Set Designer and painter. Before you head out to buy new materials, take a look around your home or visit local thrift stores. You’d be surprised by the gems you can find! An old wooden pallet can transform into a rustic platform with a bit of paint, while an old sheet might serve as the perfect backdrop for a dramatic scene. Don’t forget to reach out to your community! Local businesses often have surplus items they’d love to donate or sell at a discount. This not only saves money but also fosters community support for your project.
