Understanding what’s truly essential. Not all data is created equal, and collecting unnecessary information can quickly become a waste of time and money. I make it a priority to sit down with the client early on and really dig into their goals. What do they need this data for? Is it to make a critical decision, comply with regulations, or maybe identify risks? Once we’re clear on that, it’s easier to figure out what data matters most and skip anything extra. It’s surprising how much cost you can cut just by narrowing the scope.

Know what data is necessary to conduct - by setting right objectives to guide the data collection exercise. 2. Consultvwisely and widely with professionals in data management field. It's easier to learn from past mistakes and re-strategize. 3. Know the right tools for data collection. Using wong tools will become a cost burden. Some tools might be best for a specific data set but too costly, look for a cheaper tool which doesn't compromise data quality. 4. Get the right team for the job. This point is very critical coz in light of right tools but rwong data collection team, all will be a waste of resources.
