When I wanted to boost brand awareness on a tight B2B budget, I used Twitter chats strategically by following a step-by-step process that led to real results. Here’s what I did: 1. Use tools like Tchat.io to search for niche-specific Twitter chats related to your industry. Focus on topics that your target audience actively engages in. 2. Before joining a chat, organize a short AMA within the chat’s topic. Share insights and invite attendees to ask questions, using a unique hashtag like #MyBrandAMA. 3. Offer resources like eBooks or webinars mid-chat that solve a problem discussed. Example: “Grab my free guide on scalable lead gen here: [link].” 4. After the chat, reach out via DM to high-value participants with a personalized message

This could be a useful narrow niche targeted tactic and perhaps the one of the best uses of X. The danger to a brand of participating on X are well known, but largely avoidable with something like Chats. The thing I like most about them is it is a chance to engage on a very personal level with a very engaged audience. It is probably more useful as a B2C platform, but even more difficult to avoid brand damage with large scale exposure. On the list of 20 or so major digital networking platforms I would consider X last (not at all if I’m being honest) but if someone insists on it, Chats may be a good option, that I still would advise our own clients against simply from a risk mitigation standpoint.

To boost brand awareness in the B2B market using Twitter chats, I would first identify relevant industry conversations and hashtags to participate in. Hosting or co-hosting a Twitter chat on a timely topic can position our brand as a thought leader. I’d craft engaging questions that encourage interaction and showcase our expertise. Promoting the chat in advance will help gather an audience, while actively engaging with participants during the event will build relationships. Post-chat, sharing key takeaways can further extend our reach and reinforce our brand’s visibility.
