To reignite a potential lead’s interest after silence, try these approaches: Personalized Follow-up: Refer to previous conversations and highlight how your solution can still address their needs. Provide New Value: Share relevant insights, case studies, or updates to showcase how you’re still a resource. Ask for Feedback: Inquire about their reasons for hesitation, showing you value their input. Be Persistent but Respectful: Stay top of mind without overwhelming them, offering a final "last chance" message to create urgency.

Communication is the key for everything. Building and developing the relationship is something you have to do in every interaction, and in that process you create a true environment for real and transparent connection. This will allow you to explore the underlying motivations nd roadblocks that the lead has, and manoeuvre around them with a better success chance. I find there is often not enough time spent on understanding the lead's motivations and needs, and are pretty much assumed, which is a big mistake.

I like to follow any leads I have across social media platforms. This allows me to consume their content & watch what they have going on, are interested in, passionate about, & like to talk on. This then allows me to re-ignite a lead in a non salesy follow up way. I will often follow up with something personal from what I see they’re posting on social media. Sometimes it can be me asking about a restaurant I saw them go to, hitting on something they spoke about, bringing up a trip I saw them just go on, etc. makes it more personable & shows that I can more than just trying to close a deal. Often times this results in the lead saying something along the lines of “oh I haven’t forgotten about you either, I will get back to you on X”.
-
Re-engage with value, not pressure. Send a personalized message sharing a new insight, industry trend, or resource tailored to their needs. Reference your last interaction to show you’ve been thinking about their goals. Try a light, creative touch—share a relevant success story or pose an intriguing question. If timing may be the issue, offer flexibility or suggest reconnecting down the road. Demonstrating patience and persistence with genuine value often sparks renewed interest.
