Some of my preferred strategies are to (1) Offer on-going recognition programs for innovative contributions that reinforces the idea that creativity is not only encouraged, but celebrated as well for a notable team building event; (2) Involve employees in internal and external planning initiatives for the team-building event to optimize covering all essential areas (food, beverages, theme, etc); and (3) Create a culture of creativity to seek out all interests aligned with the broader staff needs and rapidly changing business landscape, where everyone feels included for any internal events.
