We should develop systems in such a way that if any employee goes the other follow up. I mean it should be system driven & not employee driven.

To ensure updates reach everyone effectively in a food manufacturing environment: 1. **Daily briefings** and **shift handovers** are essential for immediate communication. 2. Use **bulletin boards** and **digital communication** (emails or messaging apps) for ongoing updates. 3. **Intercom announcements** can quickly disseminate urgent news. 4. Distribute **notice slips** through team leaders during shift changes. 5. Implement a **feedback mechanism** to ensure two-way communication. 6. Conduct **training sessions** and use **visual aids** to reinforce new protocols. 7. Regular check-ins with supervisors ensure updates are understood and implemented correctly.

A systematic hand over. - communication book. - whatsapp group. - face to face hand over. In a day of production, require board or visual chart for everybody to refer.

(edited)I see alot of great answers here. It completely depends on the communication and obviously leadership. In my case I witness individuals leaving problems for the next shift without informing them of the issues, a general lack of understanding and confidence to even deal with what I’d call average level troubleshooting. If leadership has no idea if a job should take 5 days or 5 minutes I see about 3 great employees with the rest being Almost entire useless eaters. Fortunately young apprentices that are grateful for the opportunity are nice because even with making 120,000$ easily we are constantly unable to hire. Powerful union which to me is like communism, bad workers abuse fmla and do nothing and the good workers get left with everything

Ensure effective updates by implementing centralized communication platforms accessible to all staff. Use clear, concise messages tailored to each shift and reinforce them with visual aids or alerts. Conduct regular briefings and track acknowledgment to confirm understanding.
