Profit or non-profit, quality means- meeting user needs the first time. Goals may differ. But fundamentals remain same. Identify the goals, have a benchmark and review progress against those. Focus must always be on quality that leads to efficiency and effectiveness.

First things first, needs are same for everyone and so costs also. No NGO employees or representatives get any subsidy from neither governments nor from the society. Reducing costs is a challenging thing for NGOs. Employees turnover is high due to the less incentives practice. Other expenses such as rent, electricity, travel and other admin expenses are no different from the business. FCRA allows only 20% admin charges. How to mitigate: 1. NGOs should explore ancillary services that can be provided by them to earn some revenue (which should not exceed 20% of total revenue as per IT act). 2. Try to build corpus over the years to earn interest income. 3. Have own building/s (if possible). 4. Use tech grants from Google, Microsoft, zoom etc

Commitment is largely governed by dynamics of economics irrespective of type of organisations. Higher attrition rate demands introspection. Two important things - push and pull factor of the organisations reveals a lot. Better Compensation and Benefits, Work-Life Balance, A strong, inclusive workplace culture can be a significant draw. Organizations that invest in employee growth, training, and advancement are more appealing. People want to work for an organization that respects their commitment level and humanity. Does grocery shop prices vary on the type of organisation/level of employee?
