Honesty and transparency goes a long way in managing communities. Nowadays communities are faced with various challenges, some which don't relate to operations however you have to lend them your ears and assist where you can and when you can't make it clear that you can not assist unfortunately.

To me it could be - assuring eco friendly packaging for the food materials to be carried along - assuring zero wastage and eco friendly materials - proper waste disposal practices - sanitation and hygiene products be eco friendly and shouldn’t add to the environment waste - eco friendly solutions for every situation and it would be one step closer to being assuring a safe environment - plantations - using equipment of good condition - regular monitoring of environment i.e gases and noise/vibrations

Putting aside that I struggle to think of what an "eco-friendly mining initiative" might be. Open to suggestions. As with any engagement, talk early talk often, be truthful. Indigenous communities will need capacity to do that including hiring their own consultants and experts. They'll need traditional land use studies. There are issues you haven't considered, such as that industrial ("man") camps have a demonstrated impact on MMIWG. Water quality, wildlife, sacred lands. You're just another white person coming in with promises, while they have a well-deserved mistrust and long memories.

Don't blow smoke. There are two scenarios in Canada, one where a community is in dire need of funds and the other where they are not. In the first case economic incentives can be seen as a bad faith payment for damage. In the second, there is just less interest. You'll have to talk about closure and remediation and what your funding model is for that. We don't remember successful closures, we remember failed mines (Polley, Faro, Vic Gold) so you'll need to be able to show that you are the former kind of operator with long term funds. Quibbling with government on bond amounts doesn't look good.
