The key is to set the expectations very clearly for each role and as a team. Remote work often leads to people balancing their personal and professional life in a different way than work from office structure. Hence the clear expectations would help the team align their personal responsibilities accordingly and the clear goal/expectations will ensure that the team is on track and have a strong sense of purpose. Well it's been over two decades in IT outsourcing where projects are being executed in onsite- offshore (remote) methodology and have survived and are going strong to continue to deliver on time and on budget projects. This is challenging for a manager so I would be open about it and say you need help to ensure this works well for everybody. Ask for feedback and see what's the 1-2 things that would make the biggest positive difference for everyone. Get them, review them and implement them. Then see what works and doesn't, reiterate again.
