Finally, as leaders, we should take the initiative to guide our team by setting an example that shows we are committed to innovation. We should also always share any ideas with the team.

What I find is that companies mainly tend to reach out to developers they have worked with in the past. But especially now, there are lots of innovative options and players out there. I would encourage shopping around, inviting (new) providers to present solutions to you, and look to co-create innovative solutions that really meet your sustainability goals, alongside broader corporate goals. Making sure your team has cross-functional expertise can also be tremendously helpful.
