Second, setting realistic expectations is a must. If it's known in advance that something isn't doable in the given conditions, it needs to be clearly communicated. Doable part should be broken down into smaller items and regular syncs or reports can help stay aligned on the progress. Third, any dependencies between teams, on 3rd party tools, etc., have to be timely identified and throughly tracked to avoid potential blockers when the output of team A is the input for team B. Fourth, it is essential to provide actionable plans to resolve the issues faced and minimize their consequences.
